Floury Baps (Bread Rolls)

In true British Carry On Film humour...I have floury baps...

This is a recipe from the Fabulous Baker Brothers, it is really easy and creates very soft squishy and incredibly yummy bread rolls.

5g (1 teaspoon) dried yeast 50ml (1 3/4 fl oz) tepid water 250g (9oz) strong white bread flour 1 teaspoon sugar 10g (tablespoon) butter 5g (1 teaspoon) sea salt 100ml (3 1/2 fl oz) tepid milk

Stir the yeast into the tepid water and put to one side.

Then put the flour, sugar, butter and salt into a large bowl and add the tepid milk.  Then add in the water and yeast mix.

Knead for approx 15 minutes.

Leave to rise covered in a warm place for one hour.

Divide the dough into four, shape into balls and then flatten them slight. Place on a greased proof sheet, dust with flour, cover and leave to rise for a further hour.

Then bake in the oven 200C/Gas 6 for 12 minutes.
