Review: Lunar and Lux candles

I love to purchase homemade items and candles are something that I get through quite a lot of...so I went on a mission to find some creative lovelies...

Their shop can be found on etsy https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Lunarandlux

They have a very lovely range of candles, wax melts, bath salts and room sprays - all of them look fabulously witchy.

I chose the Sacred Smoke / Palo Santo Candle

The blurb:

Sacred Smoke contains all the ingredients for the ultimate magick medicine. Burning this candle will clear your space, rendering it energised, safe, creative, calm and deeply rested.

Used since Ancient times Palo Santo and Sage have been used to connect to the spirit world and cleanse space before and after a ceremony. The smoke from dried sage actually changes the ionic composition of the air, and can have a direct effect on reducing our stress response.

Smudging is ritual alchemy — changing and shifting the air element, and transforming our current experience to a mystical one.

Cedarwood and Patchouli have been used to bring together two powerful cleansing oils and create the ultimate ritual blend.

This is the perfect candle to use during moon rituals, when you feel unrested and also after a big event.

We've also added something a little extra in the form of tigers eye gemstone crystals and dried heather. These crystals have been charged and cleansed under the full moon with sage to get the most out of their natural energies. .

Each candle comes in a beautiful glass jar with a black screw top lid, designed to enhance the style of any event or home. The jar can be re-used once the candle is finished, making this candle container sustainable and multi-use.

Ordered on 29th September and it arrived 13th October (the site did state a ten day turnaround on orders currently).

Cost £5.99 plus p&p of £3.70

The packaging is lovely and personally addressed which is a nice touch. The jar looks fabulous. The scent is pleasant but not over whelming when you open the lid. Burns well.

Once lit it filled the room with scent quite quickly.
