Living in the middle of a house renovation and having all my magical items packed away has prompted me to work 'outside the box'. I have been looking at the magic of ordinary household items.
I started with a house brick, as we have plenty of those at the moment! Red brick dust is very magical and exceptionally good for protection magic. I believe it also brings the energy of stability, grounding and foundations.
Soot and ash from the fire place also carries the magic of protection.
Dust (we have plenty of that at the moment too) brings in a personal connection.
Your crockery and cutlery can also be utilised for magic.
