Pulling an oracle card today it was all about personal energy, something that seems to have been an issue for a lot of people this week.
MARIGOLD WISDOM
Are your energy reserves running low? Do you need a bit of a boost or on the flip side are you too full of energy and on a complete sugar rush? You might even be experiencing both flips of the energy coin, one minute you are rushing around like a mad thing and the next you feel like someone pulled out the plug. Take a chill pill (seriously can’t believe I just used that expression…) but really do, having such extremes of energy is not good, time to take a check on how and why. What in your life is making you really tired out all the time or flap around like a headless chicken? Time to take stock and examine what is going on. Kick in those psychic powers, grab hold of that intuition and bring about some changes in energy. Use the force…really, I mean it, you don’t have to be a Jedi to tap into the force of nature or the spirit of the universe and get some answers. Find a quiet spot and give yourself at least a few minutes time out to relax, breathe and tap into the source.
MARIGOLD MAGIC
Marigold is my plant of choice whenever I am putting together any spells or incense blends for psychic powers. Put marigold flowers under your bed to ensure a good sleep and keep away nightmares and invite in prophetic dreams. Place marigold flowers around your house and hang over doorways for protection and to fill your home with positive energy. With the bright cheerful colours and the energy of the Sun marigold makes a good herb to use for happiness and uplifting workings.
MARIGOLD STORY
The proper name is ‘calendula’ and you might be thinking that it sounds a bit like the word calendar…and you would be correct. The Romans called this plant calendula because it flowered throughout the calendar year (well in their mild climate it did anyway). Peasant people couldn’t afford gold, preferring instead to buy useful things like food so when they were finding something to offer to the Virgin Mary they would take marigolds instead. The name Marigold deriving from the Old English words for Mary and Gold. Shakespeare mentions the flower and calls it the Mary-bud and also talks about its habit of closing at sunset and opening at sunrise.

Rainbow spell for YOU
This spell is all about you and your own power.
You will need:
Seven crystals, one for each colour of the rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo (lilac/purple), violet (or clear).
Seven candles, one for each colour of the rainbow, or plain white
Using the crystals, place them in a rainbow arch shape.
Add in matching candles if you want or plain white ones, one behind each crystal and light the wicks.
Give them each a different quality that you would like to manifest. Charge each one in your hand and state the intent out loud, so it might be:
Red – courage, passion, energy
Orange – success, personal power
Yellow – happiness, friendship
Green – prosperity, hope
Blue – good health, healing, communication
Indigo – spirituality, faith
Violet – inner sight, clarity
Placing each one back in position when you have charged it with your intent.
When all seven are charged, sit quietly watching the candle flames and wait for any guidance or messages.
Then take each crystal, one by one, blowing out each candle in turn and place the crystals in a pouch to keep with you or in a dish to keep on your altar.
Tap into the energy when you need it by holding the crystal in your hand.
Recharge with the candles again at regular intervals, each full moon works nicely.
