Review: Pagan Parcel Subscription Box

I had seen a few adverts around social media for witchcraft/pagan subscription boxes, some themed to the sabbats, others general monthly boxes. I was intrigued, because who doesn't like getting nice witchy presents through the post?

I decided to order a selection to compare and share my findings and thoughts with you. They are all UK based (although most of them do ship worldwide), I did look at USA based subscriptions (and there are some really brilliant looking ones to try) but unfortunately the cost of shipping was almost as much as the box.

I will be posting a review each week for the next few weeks, in no particular order of favouritism. I don't like writing bad reviews as such, but for something like this I am just presenting to you all the information, you can make your choice from there.

Pagan Parcels

There are some variations to choose from on the Pagan Parcel website, with different designs, sizes and prices.

I unfortunately had a bad experience with the ordering of this box, I may have just caught them at a bad time...

Ordered on 29th July 2018

Nothing received over a month later so I emailed, twice - no reply

Then I messaged their facebook page - no reply

Eventually on 14th September having still received no box or any response I put in a dispute claim via paypal.

A few minutes later I received notification via email my order had been cancelled.

I was confused, so I emailed asking if I would receive a refund...again...no reply.

That day a message went up on their facebook page apologising, due to personal issues some boxes were delayed and others had been cancelled.

Then...on 17th September the box arrived.

I would perhaps check with them before ordering to make sure they are back on track.

Pagan Parcel Delux Subscription Box - Subscription box price: £24.00 - this price includes delivery

Contents:

A correspondence sheet

White sage incense sticks

2 candles

A smoky quartz tumble stone (with small info card)

Bag of dried marigolds

Bag of dried yarrow

Acorn necklace

Small brass incense burner

Small pack of frankincense resin

Small bag of bath salts

Orgonite goddess

Herb information sheet

Sheet with information for a prosperity spell (items not included)

Overall thoughts:

Having already received several subscription boxes I don't think this has been the best one, but it is OK content wise, but is it worth £24? The herbs and salts are in quite small quantities. The incense burner is very small and the acorn charm on the necklace is tiny. The spell sheet was a decent spell but didn't cover or include any of the items in the box, so it seemed a bit random.

Having waited so long for delivery and having had so many issues, it was to be honest, a bit disappointing.
