Marigold
(Calendula officinalis)
Marigold is an annual bedding plant with lots of different varieties (different species) but all gold, yellow and orange flowers that have a strong scent. It is said that slugs don’t like the taste…whoever said it was lying…I have the proof.
Marigold is my plant of choice whenever I am putting together any spells or incense blends for psychic powers.
Put marigold flowers under your bed to ensure a good sleep and keep away nightmares and invite in prophetic dreams.
Place marigold flowers around your house and hang over doorways for protection and to fill your home with positive energy.
With the bright cheerful colours and the energy of the Sun marigold makes a good herb to use for happiness and uplifting workings.
Carry with you to bring you luck, especially in legal cases or for gamblers.
Mix with bay leaf and use in anti gossip workings.
Reveal Marigold Tea
Drink to boost your psychic powers.
1 pint apple juice
½ cup of sugar
Two tablespoons marigold flowers
1 orange, sliced
4 geranium petals
Warm all the ingredients together for 7-10 minutes on a low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Strain and keep chilled. Drink cold with ice or re-heat to serve warm.
