In the last year or so I have been looking at purchasing regular items from independents and local retailers.
Last week I ran out of garlic, I usually source my supplies via my weekly veggie box delivery, Riverford but they didn't have stock. Remembering that I had seen garlic at a local farmers market I did an internet search. It turned up The Garlic Farm, based on the Isle of Wight (literally a long stone's throw across the water from me).
They have quite a large range of garlic based items.
Garlic for eating in different varieties
Chutneys and condiments
Garlic mayonnaise
Sauces and dressings
Pestos, pastes and purees
Oils, salts and butters
Snacks, cheese and antipasti
I ordered some 'wonky rustic garlic bulbs' and some garlic puree to keep just in case.
The delivery arrived a couple of days later and I am delighted. Huge great big garlic bulbs and all packaged in recyclable/compostable packaging.
Very impressed.
