Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen ...

Whoah! What an amazing time Ness, Heather and I had 'up north'! Huge thanks to Angela from Fenix Flames for inviting us.

Thursday we hit the road early (getting up before the sun), stopping for breakfast and a long chat at a service station. We seem to be becoming incredibly familiar with service stations these days! Then onwards to Mansfield. We stayed in a good old Travelodge for a couple of reasons; they are reasonably priced with clean rooms and good facilities. But, we can also book a 'family' room which means we can stay in the same room, allowing us to chat and hang out together 24/7. A family room has one double bed and two singles, so there is usually a fight over who has the singles!

We found a very nice carvery for dinner and then headed over to Fenix Flames. What an amazing shop (we expected nothing less), packed with crystals, herbals, jewellery, candles and all sorts of other wonders. They also sell online and carry stock of my books. https://www.fenixflames.co.uk/

We were overwhelmed to discover our moot was fully booked. We met and caught up with some lovely people and had a bit of a laugh giving our talk, which was also streamed live to the Fenix Flame FB and TikTok if you want to catch the replay.

On the Friday we went to the local pub for a buffet breakfast, and then headed out to Sherwood Forest in search of Robin Hood. Sherwood Forest has a very nice little shopping area with some interesting artisans. We were particularly taken with Simpley Natural, who make beautiful toiletries.

We paid our respects to the Great Oak and were very impressed to discover the RSPB looks after all the trees in Sherwood. Then we hit the trail ... led by Heather and her internal sat nav. However, Loki had other ideas, and we were taken off the regular track and into the wilderness. It was the kind of place where time works at a different speed, and we encountered some very weird (but wonderful) energies. We found glades and groves and mysterious trees with holes right through. We lost ourselves in the wood for several hours!

Loki then took us to a McDonald's - I am blaming him because it was his fault.

Then back to Fenix Flames for triad readings. Again we met and caught up with some very wonderful people and hopefully provided some answers.

The following day we headed home, with obviously a service station stop on the way because Mansfield is a very long way from home!

We took away several things from this jolly:

Angela has created an amazing community at Fenix Flames.

Heather, Ness and I can talk 24/7 for three whole days, possibly more.

Heading off the beaten track can be very rewarding.

We need to research the Norse/Anglo Saxon elves.
