Renovations: Week Nineteen

No work men in this week because we are coming to the end of all the work!

We have had a quiet week while Tom the carpenter weaves his magic away in his lair under a magical mountain some where secret. He is creating units to fit under our stairs and building them in his workshop before coming to fit them.

Once that is done and a couple of odd snag jobs the floor can go down and we will be done.

I thought I would take this opportunity to share some before and after shots. There will be more but I want to wait until all the final jobs are done and the flooring is down to get the full effect.

The garden

Before it was a mud pit and bits of old smelly fake grass.

Afterwards it now has a beautiful patio, set planting areas, shingle, stepping stones and new fencing both sides.

Outside

Before it was an old unheated UPVC conservatory, too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.

Now it is a fully insulated, heated, brick built extension with French doors, side window and sky lights. It will house our dining table as it is now part of the open plan kitchen.
