Words Have Power

Words really do have power. Think about how you feel when someone gives you a compliment or an insult. As a Witch, words have ultimate power; it is by speaking those words that we form a spell, a chant or a ritual. Focusing and connecting with the energy of each day often brings a word or phrase to mind.

Prompt:

•             When you are connecting with that energy, open your mind and see what words pop into it.

•             You may find a word or phrase that gives you something to work with for the day.

•             The word might be a prompt to work some magic.

•             Use the word as a focus for meditation.

•             You may be inspired by the theme for a ritual.

•             An animal may come to mind, so do some research on its characteristics.

•             The name of a deity might pop into your head; do some research to see why.

•             It could be that a phrase comes to you, one that can be used as an affirmation to repeat throughout the day.

•             You may find the words come to you for the beginning of a song, a story or a poem – spend some time cultivating it.
