Witchcraft: Daily Practice - Day 29
Moon Magic
Working with the energy of the moon is a huge part of Witchcraft and something that can affect your mood and energy levels as well as boost your magical workings. The phases of the moon can also be used to help reconnect or connect you with your spiritual pathway. Moon magic is an enormous subject (I have written two whole books on it!), but for the purpose of daily practice, keep it simple.
Prompt:
· If you have never kept a moon diary, give it a try; it can be extremely insightful.
· Check in with the moon phase each morning and then at the end of the day, make a note of your emotions, energy levels or anything that happened that day. You will begin to see a pattern that ties in with the moon phases.
· Note the moon phase for the day and pick a specific area of magic to focus on that ties in with the moon energy.
· At the end of the day, stand outside and look up at the moon, take a note of her shape, colour and any images you might see in her.
· Look up at the moon and send her your wishes and thanks.
· Moon bathe – lie or stand under the moon outside or sit beside a window indoors and soak up the moonlight.
· Pop some of your crystals or tools outside under the moonlight to charge. Check the energy of them before and then after, and see what difference there is.
· Research moon deities and see if any of them spark a connection for you.
· Create an incense blend for each moon phase.
· Create an essential oil blend for anointing that corresponds with each moon phase.
· Set up an altar dedicated to the energy of the moon.
· Work spells on each moon phase and keep a record of what works and what does not.
· Meditate on each moon phase.
· Make a list of crystals, herbs and plants that you connect with each moon phase. These can then be used in spell work.
