A Prosperity Altar
Anyone can have an altar, or a sacred space dedicated to a particular intent. Having a prosperity altar can really help keep the money coming in, and it doesn’t have to be a huge space. A small shelf or the top of a side table would work perfectly. It also doesn’t need to look like an altar, and by that, I mean it can blend in with your furnishings and not be ‘obviously’ magical. Find a space that suits you and put a cloth over it.
You might want to purchase a small tablecloth especially for it, but a ‘fat quarter’ of material from a fabric store, an old scarf or tablecloth will work just as well. If you can use one that is green, gold or orange in colour, then you bring in prosperity, wealth and success with colour magic.
Now think about what you would like to put on the altar; these will be items that you associate with prosperity, money, luck or success. Have a look around your home and see what you already have there.
My suggestions would be:
A green, gold or orange candle in a holder.
A few silver or gold coins.
A small vase with fresh greenery.
An old purse or wallet.
Crystals that you associate with money, such as malachite or green aventurine.
Herbs you associate with money, such as mint or basil.
A money box or piggy bank.
As you place each item onto the altar, charge it with your intent. Hold the item in your hands and visualise money coming to you. You might like to say something such as:
“With this item, I do say
Money and prosperity will come my way
On my prosperity altar, you will stay
Luck and success roll in from this day”
Place the items where you think they need to be, and make a nice display.
Each day, you can light the candle and visualise money coming to you. You may also want to add a little dish as an offering plate. Pop a few herbs, seeds or coins into the dish every so often as an offering and a thanks to the divine.
If you have any bills that arrive, fold them up and place them on the altar with the intent that money will arrive to cover the amount.
Keep the altar clean, dusted and fresh to keep the prosperity magic working.
