Witchcraft: Daily Practice - Day 26
Reading
A lot of my knowledge about Witchcraft has come from books; it was the starting point for my learning journey and has continued to play a core role ever since. There is no shortcut to experience, and there is nothing to replace getting out there and doing it, but books provide a huge resource of knowledge not just about Witchcraft, Paganism and all the other wonderful rabbit holes or spirituality, but other subjects too. It is quite possible to lose yourself in a book, a series of books or set off on parallel or even random journeys into unknown areas. Books are magic…FACT. If you are just starting your spiritual journey, and I use the term ‘spiritual’ as a coverall for every subject under the huge Pagan/Witchcraft/druid/deity/enter other terms here umbrella. There are so many different journeys that you can take to find your own unique and individual pathway. If you have fallen off the spiritual wagon, then reading can help bring you back.
Prompt:
• You might like to delve into a new book on a subject you have not looked at before.
• You may prefer to pick up one of the books you first read that led you to begin your spiritual journey.
• It can be enlightening to re-read that first book that sparked your interest.
• It can also be a much-needed refresher to re-read some of the basics again.
• We never stop learning, you can never know everything, and we can always benefit from being reminded about the basics.
• You do not necessarily need to read a non-fiction book, try looking at a spiritual-themed fiction book instead.
• Do some research on Pagan and/or spiritual elders and authors that inspire you.
• Research the history of Witchcraft.
• Research the different Pagan, Witchcraft and spiritual pathways.
